Becky Johnson has been quilting over 20 years. It all started when a friend invited her to join a Saturday Sampler class. It sounded fun, but she admits that the real draw was getting to go to breakfast with friends once a month before going to the quilt shop. "We had so much fun, that led to another Saturday Sampler, then a class and a few years later… to owning a quilt shop," Johnson said. She started designing quilts to sell fabrics. Customers liked the fabrics, but didn’t know what to make. She soon found that she really enjoyed the creativity in designing her own quilt patterns. So, in her life after owning a quilt shop, she decided to start designing patterns to share with others.
Her quilting background includes making hundreds of quilts and teaching classes to hundreds of quilters. Classes included Quilting 101, Beyond the Basics (30/60 degree triangles, diamonds, Y-seams, curved piecing, paper piecing, applique, mitered corners), Double Wedding Ring, Jinny Byer Designs and many more. "I use my love of quilting and my mathematical background to design patterns that are easy to follow and look stunning when finished," Johnson claims. The patterns are designed so you can pick out fabrics you love. She has designed a variety of patterns to use with fat quarters, 10” or 5” squares and more!
