Quilts for Ukraine

In typical fashion, quilters are gathering their fabric, thread, and tools to assist in humanitarian efforts--this time. . . . the war on Ukraine.

Owl's Nest Quilters has donated its quilts to families from Ukraine being relocated to Grand Junction. In coordination with the Canyon View Vineyard Church, we are assisting in a way that we can to help welcome the families to the area and to make them feel warm and safe.

Owl's Nest Quilters will be taking donations of handmade quilts until the end of April to deliver to the Ukrainian households relocating to the area. Bring your quilt to us during regular business hours. No store-bought quilts, please.

Other companies have stepped up to provide free patterns commemorating Ukraine's national flower and flag. Check out these websites to see what you can do to use your talent in ways that will bring comfort to others.

Craft Gossip offers 8 Ways Quilters Can Help Ukraine.

The Quilt Show is asking quilters to send 8 1/2” blocks in blue and yellow, the colors of the Ukrainian flag. These blocks will be sewn together and given to Ukrainian refugees.
