Here we are .... in another new year. We have high hopes for you, 2022. We have had two years of _____. Well, you fill in the blank. We share some of what these two years have given us, but we have also had vastly divergent experiences that have set this country into such division.
At Owl's Nest Quilters, we are putting all that behind us and are looking forward to a great 2022. We have such great plans for the year. We have new instructors coming who will be sharing their unique interests and contributions to the quilting community in addition to our tried and true instructors of yore. Many of these instructors are local, but we have also reached out to other Colorado artists to share their talents with us.
Colorado Quilting Celebrations is our new boxed projects program. Each quarter we will introduce you to a new Colorado artist by sending you all that you need to complete one of their patterns. Our first Colorado Quilting Celebrations box focuses on Cheryl Phillips of Phillips Fiber Arts. We will only be making a limited number of kits, so order quickly once they go online.
We are keeping many of our favorite classes and gatherings--Featherweight Club, Embroidery Adventures, Scan 'N Cut Techniques, and our ever-popular open sew days.
But we are also adding some new things. We will have a year of celebrating all things handstitched. If you do any kind of handwork, you are invited to join us once a month for our All Things Hand Stitched gathering. Machines are not allowed!
We are experimenting more with Zoom and YouTube classes. Teresa will be doing a Zoom-only class on a ByAnnie project. We will also be doing more Scan 'N Cut Along projects on YouTube.
And, as usual, each month will offer something new and unexpected to tantalize you and stretch your skills and knowledge of different artists and techniques that make our quilting community so interesting and dynamic. Be sure to check out our monthly newsletter either in the shop or online to stay abreast of what treasures we have in store for you in 2022!
