Owl's Nest Quilters Exclusive Patterns and Fabrics

Custom fabric Exclusive fabric and patterns

Owl's Nest Quilters now has exclusive patterns and fabrics to add to its already extensive offerings!

For the past year, we have been working on two custom batik designs that are not only exclusive to Owl's Nest but are also specific to Colorado and to Grand Junction. If you look closely at the first fabric, you will see Mt. Garfield, the largest of the Bookcliff mesas; Independence Rock, the iconic rock formation in the Colorado National Monument; Colorado's state animal, the Bighorn Sheep, which are often seen on the mesas; and other commonly seen flora and fauna, as well as the shop's name hidden in the rock formations. The colorway is browns and taupe with wines and maroons, reminiscent of the colors of the area.

The second fabric showcases Colorado's state flower, the Columbine. Columbine clusters are tossed about and tumbled with purples and greens. This bright and cheery fabric will complement any number of projects.

Our resident quilt designer, Kris Holderness, has created several exclusive patterns for these fabrics. Western Colorado Wonders uses fussy cut swatches of the first fabric. The design allows the fabric to tell its story and showcase the beauty that surrounds us in the Grand Valley.

Kris' other patterns are arriving soon and will creatively use the columbine fabric in designs that are created for beginners and more advanced piecers. Check back often to keep up-to-date on the availability of Kris' new patterns.

We are so excited about launching these two new enterprises. It is our commitment to you to bring you something new to feed your creativity--Because We Love to Create!
