Owl's Nest Quilters is the largest quilt shop on the Western Slope of Colorado between Denver and Salt Lake City. We offer approximately 4,000 bolts of fabric, several hundred of which are fabulous batiks. People come to our shop for miles just to shop our batik wall!
When Carol Schneider took ownership of Owl's Nest Quilters in 2019, her main focus for the shop was building community and sharing our work with others. Owl's Nest, lovingly referred to as the Nest, is a social hub for quilters and sewists, especially during open sew days on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The spacious classroom allows for a full array of classes that are taught every Thursday-Saturday.
Because we simply "Love to Create" (our tagline), we often find ourselves with more items than we could ever use. We have partnered with several organizations where we can donate our homemade items. The Nest is a drop-off location for Project Linus, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, and the Golden Girls. Please contact the shop for specifics about the types of items to donate to each organization.
Another focus of the shop is celebrating Colorado artists. Colorado has a vast array of quilters, pattern designers, and corporations devoted to the art of quilting. As a result of Carol's passion for Colorado, Owl's Nest Quilters was included in Quiltfolk Magazine's Issue 28, which is devoted entirely to quilting in Colorado.
